Background Previous smaller events, such as Big Days in the Park (MIND & Folk Roots), Community Clean Up Days (GCN) and Party in the Park (Planet Mutley) have raised expectations, enthusiasm and the vision of local people. Last August, the vision for a week-long festival saw event organisers and other community groups partner together to create a 4 day festival pilot. Successfully received within the community, members of the network and partners decided that now is the time to build on this success and unite resources to create a week-long series of activities to be enjoyed by residents and visitors to the area.
